Michael McCarthy

Michael McCarthy is the corporate controller of operational analytics for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. In this role, he is responsible for all the analysis to determine resources, evaluation of operational workflows, quality data submissions, risk data composition, and how members get access to the care they need.

Michael attended John Carroll University, where he majored in finance. He started his career in capital markets before finding his love for financial decision-making in healthcare. After working at various community hospitals, his passion turned to population health. With the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, he is driven to understand how data can drive decision-making to achieve better outcomes in a financially sustainable way for the community.

Outside of work, Michael loves deep-sea fishing and spending time on a nearby lake with his family.
