Janie Livesay has worked in various roles in the business sector since 1998. Janie began their career at Advanced Technology Systems as a Senior Business Analyst. In 2008, they moved to Chenega Government Consulting, LLC as the Director of Business Services. In 2011, they joined The Moore Group as Senior Vice President. In 2014, they became the Vice President of Membership at AFCEA Hampton Roads Chapter. Since 2016, Janie has been with The Honor Foundation, working as the Vice President of Programs and Curriculum Development, Director of Programs at the Virginia Beach Campus, and Executive Coach.

Janie Livesay's educational history includes a Master of Social Work (MSW) from NSU, obtained in 1993, and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Longwood University. Janie also holds certifications from Gallup as a Strengths Coach (obtained in July 2019), Simon Sinek Inc. as a Start With Why Certified Facilitator (obtained in December 2018), and two Business Analyst Certifications from Learning Tree International and the State of Virginia (both obtained in January 2003).
