Josephine Ramirez

Josephine Ramirez has a diverse and extensive work experience in the arts and cultural sector. Josephine is currently the Executive Vice President at The Music Center in Los Angeles County, where they oversee all arts and cultural programming. Prior to this role, Josephine had their own consulting firm, Josephine Ramirez Consulting, specializing in arts leadership and organizational capacity-building. Josephine also worked as the Arts Program Director and Portfolio Director at The James Irvine Foundation, where they led the foundation's arts investments and integrated artistic and creative expressions into initiatives supporting lower-income working Californians. Josephine has also held positions at The Music Center, J. Paul Getty Trust, Spanglish Only Productions, and Center Theatre Group, where they focused on program development, community building, and arts education. Josephine'swork experience showcases their expertise in arts philanthropy, cultural equity, and organizational transformation.

Josephine Ramirez has a BA in Theatre from The University of Texas at Austin. Josephine also has a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from the University of Washington. Additionally, they have completed a Loeb Fellowship at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
