Javier Chavez Mms

Javier Chavez MMS, MHA serves as the Manager of Language Access Services at Children's Health since August 2023 and holds the position of Vice Chair at The National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters since November 2023. With extensive experience as a certified healthcare interpreter specializing in Spanish, Javier has worked with various healthcare organizations, including a role as a Spanish Interpreter at Harris Health System and as a Language Services Supervisor at CHI Health. Javier has also contributed as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters and has provided interpretation services at notable institutions such as Texas Children's Hospital and Houston Methodist. Educational achievements include a Master's in Medical Sciences from Ponce Health Sciences University and a Master's of Sciences in Healthcare Administration from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
