Markus Lindgren

Markus Lindgren has extensive experience in both political and educational leadership. As an Oppositionsråd and Vice ordförande for various committees at Västerås stad since October 2014, Markus has played a significant role in local governance. Concurrently, Markus has served as Rektor at Statens institutionsstyrelse since June 2013, overseeing school operations at SiS Sundbo and developing English education programs. Previous experience includes teaching English and history at Fryxellska skolan and various leadership roles within Lärarförbundet, where Markus represented over 28,000 future educators. Markus holds a Rektorsprogrammet degree from Stockholm University and a Lärarexamen from Umeå University.
