Matt Haynie serves as the Vice President of Regulatory and Industry Affairs at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), where responsibilities include leading regulatory agency engagement and issue management across the electroindustry. Prior to this role, Matt held several legal positions, including Senior Counsel at Chevron, where support was provided for enterprise-wide advocacy on issues including energy transition and regulatory matters. As Senior Regulatory Counsel at POET, contributions were made to strategic regulatory policy advocacy and compliance advice across various legal areas. Matt's earlier experience includes significant legal work in the oil and gas industry with the American Petroleum Institute and Bracewell LLP, along with a law clerk position for the Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr. at the Supreme Court of Maryland. Educational qualifications encompass a B.A. from Rice University, an MLitt from the University of St Andrews, and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.
