Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management at The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited

Kurt Scotland joined NGC as Manager Contracts and Procurement in 2019. He was promoted to the role of Senior Manager of Supply Chain Management (SCM) in April 2021. Kurt has over 18 years proven expertise in Accounting, Audit and Supply Chain Management and wide-ranging international supply chain experience in both the upstream and downstream sectors. In his role of Senior Manager at NGC, Kurt has been instrumental in the strategic alignment of the company’s procurement plan execution in accordance with sound procurement practices and effective service delivery. He has worked to ensure that policies and procedures for centralisation of the procurement process is executed to meet business objectives and operational needs.

In his current position of Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management and as part of the Leadership Team, Kurt oversees the strategic sourcing of high value, sensitive, complex, high profile requirements with due regard afforded to costs, quality, HSE and schedules variables, consistent with NGC’s contracting policies and procedures, as well as long-term planning for the strategic objectives of the SCM Division.

Kurt further supports NGC pillar for national contribution as he currently serves on the board of iGovTT under the Ministry of Digital Transformation and is a member of the country’s Permanent Local Content Committee overseen by the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries. As part of his national contribution Kurt further supports other state agencies in building their SCM departments capacity to align with global best practices.
