John Kaczorek

John Kaczorek is an experienced educator and firefighter currently serving as a Firefighter for the City of Minneapolis since January 2023. Concurrently, Kaczorek holds positions as a Math Mentor Teacher and Professional Development facilitator with The National Summer School Initiative and as a Standards Institute Facilitator with UnboundEd.org since August 2020. Kaczorek previously dedicated over a decade to Hiawatha Academies, where roles included Director of Curriculum and Assessment, principal, and founding math teacher, significantly impacting educational outcomes in marginalized communities. Earlier experience includes teaching mathematics at TEAM Charter Schools and through Teach For America, where Kaczorek developed curricula and after-school programs. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Adolescent Education-Mathematics from Pace University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Saint John's University.
