Falk Schuetzenmeister

Engineering Lead at The Nature Conservancy

Falk Schuetzenmeister has a diverse range of work experience. Falk began their career as a Research Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Düsseldorf, where they conducted surveys on various social and psychological topics. Falk then moved on to the Dresden University of Technology, where they continued their research and also secured funding for a project. Following this, Falk worked as a Visiting Postdoc at UC Berkeley, conducting research on climate change mitigation and research collaboration. Falk then transitioned to the California Invasive Plant Council as a Mapping and Modeling Project Manager, where they developed tools for predicting the spread of invasive species and collaborated with various stakeholders. Falk also worked at UC Berkeley as a Data Science Fellow and Geospatial Web Application Developer, where they focused on web application development and data processing. Currently, Falk is working at The Nature Conservancy as an Engineering Lead, utilizing their skills in geospatial software engineering.

Falk Schuetzenmeister earned a Master's degree in Sociology from Technische Universität Dresden from 1994 to 2000. Falk then pursued a PhD in Sociology at the same institution, completing it from 2001 to 2007.
