Kate Kerr

Director Of Strategic Partnerships, Global Ocean at The Nature Conservancy

Kate Kerr has a diverse work experience in the field of marine conservation. Kate started their career as the Manager of Foundation and Corporate Relations at Ocean Conservancy in 2002, where they exceeded fundraising goals. Kate then worked as the Director of Development and later as the Director of Marine Conservation at San Diego Coastkeeper, where they were responsible for securing funding and managing marine conservation projects. In 2011, they founded Kerr Group Inc, where they served as the Fundraising Director until 2016. Kate Kerr then joined The Nature Conservancy, first as the Senior Associate Director of Philanthropy and later as the Strategic Partnerships Advisor - Global Reefs. Kate currently holds the position of Director of Strategic Partnerships, Global Ocean at The Nature Conservancy. Additionally, from 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Fundraising Consultant at Strategic Ocean Solutions, providing specialized fundraising advice to marine conservation organizations.

Kate Kerr has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine & Environmental Science from the University of Maryland. Kate also holds a Master's degree in Marine Biology, Fisheries Ecology, and Coral Reef Biology from James Cook University. Additionally, they have completed an Executive Leadership Program at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
