Daan Beekers has extensive experience in social research, currently serving as a Researcher at The Netherlands Institute for Social Research (SCP) since August 2022, focusing on the diverse population of the Netherlands. Prior to this role, Daan Beekers was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities from October 2018 to September 2022 and conducted postdoctoral research at Universiteit Utrecht from June 2014 to August 2018. Daan Beekers began an academic career as a PhD Candidate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, concluding in May 2014, while working on a comparative ethnographic study of young Muslims and Christians in the Netherlands. Daan Beekers holds a Master of Philosophy in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Science in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam.
