Brooke Anderson

Brooke Anderson is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Washington, DC correspondent for The New Arab since March 2021. As a freelance writer since November 2014, Brooke has contributed to various publications. Previous positions include a temporary English editor at the United Nations in 2014, where editing and verifying translations from Arabic to English were key responsibilities. From March 2011 to May 2014, Brooke worked as a reporter for The Daily Star, focusing on local and regional news and managing website updates. Earlier reporting experience was gained in freelance roles from 2008 to 2010. Brooke holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography (Middle East) from the University of London and completed secondary education at Lowell High School.
