Tamar Major

Vice President, Individual Gifts at The New Jewish Home

Tamar Major has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations and roles. Tamar worked at The New Jewish Home as the Vice President, Individual Gifts, starting in 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Yeshiva University from 2013 to 2018, where they led a fundraising team and oversaw multiple fundraising initiatives. From 2009 to 2013, Tamar was the Executive Director of the American Friends of Reuth, where they strategically revitalized the organization and significantly increased new giving. Tamar'searlier experience includes working as the Assistant Director of Education at The Jewish Museum from 1986 to 1996, where they developed educational programs, increased attendance, and managed a team.

Tamar Major holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Instructional Technology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
