Ishan Desai-Geller

Ishan Desai-Geller is currently an Assistant Editor at The New Press. Before that, they were an Editorial Assistant at the Vera Institute of Justice from January 2021 to June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Editor at Oxford University Press from February 2019 to January 2021. They also have experience as a Research Assistant, having worked at the University of Chicago from September 2017 to June 2018, and at the Participatory Budgeting Project from September 2015 to December 2015. Additionally, they interned at Dissent Magazine from January 2016 to May 2016, and at the Institute for Community Research from June 2015 to August 2015. Finally, they have experience as a Community Fellow, having worked at Family Services Inc. from June 2014 to August 2014.

Ishan Desai-Geller has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Vassar College, a Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, and an International Baccalaureate from UWC-USA.
