Mark Kroeckel is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in architecture and design education. Kroeckel has served as a Partner at Openshop since 2001 and co-founded Threshold in 2020, where innovative solutions to complex projects are prioritized. In academia, Kroeckel is currently a Part-time Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design, teaching Project Facilitation and a Strategic Studio in collaboration with NASA - ISS. Previously, Kroeckel held teaching positions at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation, the University of Pennsylvania, and Barnard and Columbia Architecture. Kroeckel holds a Master of Architecture from Rice University and a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Ball State University.
