Sarah El-Batanouny

Sarah El-Batanouny has had an extensive and diverse work experience. Sarah currently holds the position of Chief People Officer at The New Terminal One at JFK, where they are responsible for creating opportunities for local businesses and aims to make the terminal one of the top ten airport terminals in the world.

Prior to that, Sarah worked as a People & Talent Advisor at Wurrk, providing consultative services to companies during periods of change management and transformation. Sarah also supported businesses going through rapid growth and prepared them for HR and People SOX compliance.

Sarah was a Founding Member at Chief, a professional network for executive women, from 2019 to 2023. Sarah served as the Global Chief People & Talent Officer at WorkGenius, an AI-powered freelance platform, where they provided strategic and operational leadership in recruitment and people management. Sarah worked with clients to transition them to a technology-powered approach.

At Group SJR, Sarah served as the Global Chief People & Operating Officer from 2018 to 2021. Sarah collaborated with the global CEO and CFO, leading people management strategies. Prior to that, they were the Global Chief Talent Officer at Group SJR, leading the company's global rapid growth and employee engagement initiatives.

Sarah also held the position of Chief People Officer at Truffle Pig, an integrated content marketing agency, from 2016 to 2019. Sarah was the Chief Talent Officer at Solomon Page Group from 2010 to 2016, where they changed the business of recruitment with their industry experience.

Earlier in their career, Sarah was a Senior Account Manager and Recruiter/Client Services at The Creative Group, a division of Robert Half International Inc. Sarah was responsible for high-volume agency recruiting and mentored new team members.

Sarah started their career at USAID-IESC, an international economic development organization, where they played a key role in expanding operations and recruiting executive consultants for emerging markets.
