Sam Popps is an experienced General Manager currently leading operations at The New World Trading Company since July 2023. Prior to this role, Sam accumulated over 13 years of experience at TGI Fridays UK, where responsibilities included opening new stores with significant sales targets, rolling out an EPOS system, and initiating brand trials for live music and drink offerings. Sam's leadership spanned multiple roles, overseeing all aspects of operations, team performance, and marketing strategies, while also ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. With a strong background in both management and kitchen operations, Sam consistently achieved industry-leading results and contributed to the success of various locations within the TGI Fridays brand. Sam began the career at TGI Fridays as a shift leader after graduating from Parrenthorn High School in 2000.
