Heather Pettinger

Heather Pettinger is an experienced Racing Communications Specialist at The New York Racing Association since May 2015. Previously, Heather worked as an HRN/DerbyWars Intern at Horse Racing Nation, where original content was created for horseracing fans and press releases were managed for major races. A Weekend Editor at Paulick Report, Heather oversaw weekend content and ensured accuracy in press releases. As an Assistant Registrar for the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission, responsibilities included verifying the eligibility of breeding and racing stock. Heather began their career in the Racing Department at Remington Park Racetrack Casino as a Silks/Colors Coordinator. Educationally, Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Central Oklahoma and completed postbaccalaureate coursework in Business Administration and Management at the University of Louisville.
