David K. Burden

David Burden has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. David is currently the Director of Research at The Newell Group, where they lead a team responsible for conducting national and regional outreach on behalf of commercial clients, as well as assisting non-profit organizations in strategic hiring. Prior to this, David worked as a Director in the same company, specializing in logistics and operations recruitment.

Before joining The Newell Group, David served as a Professor of History and Chair of History and Political Science at Anderson University from 2014 to 2019. David also held positions as an Assistant/Associate Professor of History at Indiana Wesleyan University from 2006 to 2014, a Visiting Assistant Professor at Angelo State University from 2005 to 2006, and a Visiting Instructor and Adjunct Faculty at Ohio Northern University from 2003 to 2004.

In addition, David was a Fulbright Hays Fellow to Mexico at the U.S. Department of Education in 2003 and a Brython Davis Endowment Graduate Fellow at the University of California from 2002 to 2003.

David Burden holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish, International Studies, and History from Ohio Northern University. David also obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in European History from the University of Cincinnati. Furthermore, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Latin American History from UC Santa Barbara. Additionally, they pursued studies in Spanish Language and Literature at the Universidad de Guadalajara.
