Alistair Godbold

Alistair Godbold has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Starting in 1981 at NATS, they served as a Senior Programme Manager and played a significant role in managing and improving the organization's project delivery capability until 2009. In 2007, they joined the Association for Project Management, where they served as Deputy Chairman, Director, and Trustee until 2013. Alistair also held the position of Board Member from 2014 to 2020. Alistair was a Director at the Major Projects Association from 2008 to 2011 and part of the MPA Programme Committee starting in 2020. Additionally, they worked for the Nichols Group, responsible for developing governance and delivery models for significant projects. Alistair has also been actively involved with the International Project Management Association as an APM CoD Representative, contributing to the advancement of project management standards and qualifications.

Alistair Godbold's education history is as follows:

Alistair Godbold obtained an MBA in Project Management from Henley Business School during the period of 1988 to 1990. Prior to this, from 1985 to 1989, they completed a BSc(Hons) in Computing Science at the University of Glasgow.

In addition to their formal degrees, in 2012, Alistair Godbold completed an Edexcel level 7 BTEC (Masters level) in Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence from Legal Experience Training Ltd.

Before their university education, they attended Kilmarnock College from 1983 to 1985, where they pursued Higher Sco TEC Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Alistair also completed OND Electronics and Communications Engineering at Wolverton College, from 1981 to 1983.

Alistair Godbold has acquired several certifications throughout their career. In 2022, they became a Fellow of the International Centre for Complex Project Management (ICCPM). In 2018, they obtained the Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) credential from the Association for Project Management. In 2014, they were awarded the title of Honorary Fellow by the Association for Project Management.

Furthermore, they hold the designation of Registered Project Professional, awarded in 2012 by the Association for Project Management. Alistair Godbold was granted the FIET designation by the Institution of Engineering and Technology in 2008. Alistair also became an FRSA (Fellow of The RSA) in the same year. In 2004, they earned the FAPM credential from the Association for Project Management. Finally, in 1993, they became a Chartered Engineer through the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
