Jonathan Marchal

Jonathan Marchal serves as the Director of Education at The North Carolina Arboretum, a position held since December 2005, where the focus is on managing an environmental education program that impacts over 25,000 youth annually. Additionally, Jonathan has been active in enhancing citizen science initiatives throughout the state. From December 2015 to December 2018, Jonathan held the role of Past President for the Environmental Educators of North Carolina, emphasizing the importance of networking and professional development within the field. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from North Carolina State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Ecology from Brevard College, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Recreation and Wildlife Management from Hocking College.
