Kay Heenan has held a variety of roles in the marketing and events industries since 2013. In 2013, they worked as a Runner for the BBC at the Edinburgh Festivals. In 2014, they held roles as a Production Manager for Monash University Student Theatre, Events and Festivals Assistant for various companies, and Marketing Manager for the Warwick Student Arts Festival. In 2016, they were an International Marketing Intern for AIESEC. From 2017 to 2021, they were employed by the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising), first as a Marketing & Events Executive, then as a Senior Marketing Executive, and finally as a Marketing Manager for Effectiveness. Kay achieved the qualification of Accredited Member of the IPA (MIPA) with 11 stars. Lastly, in 2022, Kay Heenan began working as an EU Account Manager for Ocean Bottle, an ocean impact company and proud B Corp.
Kay Heenan has a diverse educational background. In 2021-2022, they are currently enrolled in the Executive Education program at the Cambridge Judge Business School, where they are studying Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies. From 2012-2016, they attended the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in International Management. In 2014-2015, they also attended Monash University as an exchange student, studying Business and Economics. In 2012, they obtained a European Baccalaureate from the European School Brussels 2. Additionally, they have obtained a variety of certifications, including a Fundamentals of Digital Marketing certification from Google (2021), an Applied Behavioural Economics with Richard Shotton certification from IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) (2020), and a Clean UK Driving Licence (2012).
