Matthew E. Albers

Matthew E. Albers currently serves as the Senior Associate Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at The Ohio State University, a position held since June 2021. Prior to this role, Matthew was a partner at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP from January 2009 to June 2021, where involvement in the health care group was prominent. Matthew also worked as Associate General Counsel at University Hospitals Health System between 2004 and 2009, focusing on the legal needs of the academic medical center affiliated with Case Western Reserve University. Earlier in Matthew's career, experience included being a Litigation Associate at Altheimer & Gray. Academically, Matthew earned a Juris Doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University.
