Michelle Howell has held various roles in the past 8 years. From 2013-2015, they served as Co-Director and Resident & Executive Board Member at Bairnwick Women's Center. Michelle was also a Diversity, Equity, + Inclusion Facilitator at Independent from 2015-2017. During this time, they were also a Coordinator of Student Programs for Civic Engagement at the University of the South from 2015-2017 and an Operations Specialist at City Kids Wilderness Project from 2017-2018. In 2018, they became the Chief Culture Officer and Director of Partnerships + Branding at The Outrage. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Co-Founder at The Wick and an Executive Board Member in DC at Women's March Global.
Michelle Howell obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Honors in Anthropology from The University of the South, with a field of study in Women's and Gender Studies. Michelle also holds a certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention: Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from the Crisis Prevention Institute.
