Aileen Peñafiel-Hilario

Aileen Peñafiel-Hilario has over two decades of experience in human resources, currently serving as the Assistant Director of People and Culture at The Peninsula Hotels since March 2001. Aileen has held various key roles, including Interim HRIS and Benefits Manager, where responsibilities included managing staff benefits during the COVID-19 closure and maintaining data integrity for payroll. Recognized with the Outstanding Business Partner Award from the Chinese Mutual Aid Association in October 2014, Aileen has also managed talent acquisition, trained new managers, and overseen HR staff. Aileen's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Loyola University Chicago, along with advanced certifications in strategic human resources and social media in HR from Cornell University ILR School.
