Michael Gestwick

Project Director at The Pike Company

Michael Gestwick has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. From 2014 to the present, they have worked at Pike Development Services and Pike Construction Services, initially as a Project Manager and currently as a Senior Project Manager. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2014, they worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory as an Engineer III and Engineer II in the Residential Buildings Research Group, where they managed research teams focused on improving energy performance and durability in residential buildings. Before that, from 2007 to 2009, they served as a Project Engineer for the Alberta Solar Decathlon, overseeing the design and construction of an energy-efficient prototype house. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Project Engineer at BBL Construction Services. Earlier in their career, they held the role of Parking and Transportation Manager at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort from 2003 to 2006. Michael also gained valuable experience during their co-op terms at GE in 2002 and 2000, where they worked on cycle and productivity as well as material handling engineering projects.

Michael Gestwick completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rochester from 1999 to 2003. Michael then pursued further education at the University of Calgary, where they obtained a Master of Environmental Design degree from 2007 to 2009. In addition, they attended the Boston Architectural College from 2006 to 2007 and earned a Certificate of Sustainable Design.
