Craig Winans

Craig Winans has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Craig started their career at Pioneer Motor Bearing as a Controller and Treasurer, where they supervised accounting and payroll staff. Craig then moved on to MDC Vacuum Products, LLC as a Controller, where they reduced the time for month-end close and prepared monthly financial statements. At Web.com, they worked as an Accounting Manager and Controller, managing the accounting and data input departments. Craig later worked as the Director of Finance and Administration at Justarrive, Inc., overseeing the accounting and data input departments and preparing financial statements. Craig then joined Shea Labagh Dobberstein as a Senior Accounting Manager, handling job planning and analysis of accounting systems. Craig also worked at San Jose State University as an Assistant Women's Soccer Coach, achieving back-to-back regular season conference championships. Craig then became a Sole Proprietor at Craig Winans, CPA, providing accounting services and consulting on Sarbanes-Oxley implementation for Kaiser Permanente. Currently, they serve as the Director of Finance at S.F. Aftershocks. Additionally, they have experience as a Grassroots Instructor Level 2 at U.S. Soccer Federation, teaching coaches player-focused coaching approaches.

Craig Winans attended the United States Air Force Academy from 1977 to 1979, where they studied Accounting and Business/Management. Craig then transferred to San Francisco State University, where they received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from 1979 to 1981. In addition to their academic background, they also obtained various certifications, including a Grassroots Instructor License Level 2 and a Grassroots Instructor License from the U.S. Soccer Federation in 2020 and 2019, respectively. Furthermore, they obtained a National A Coaching License from the U.S. Soccer Federation in 2010 and became a Certified Public Accountant accredited by the California Board of Accountancy in 1985.
