Amy O'Doherty

VP, Institutional & Public Funding at The Possible Zone

Amy brings over 24 years of fundraising experience to her role as Vice President of Institutional and Public Funding. Prior to joining TPZ, she worked for several non-profit social service agencies in Boston including Rosie’s Place and Jane Doe, Inc., served on several boards in support of women in politics, and worked on numerous political campaigns and policy initiatives. She was Director of Development for over six years for Hearth, an organization dedicated to ending elder homelessness. Most recently, Amy was a Senior Advancement Officer at the Museum of Science for nine years where she was part of a team that raised over $288 million for the Museum’s first comprehensive capital campaign. Amy has a Master’s Degree in Communications from Emerson College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Salve Regina University. Having lived in the Boston community for over two decades, Amy is committed to supporting her community by connecting youth to opportunities that will help them develop their skills and find a meaningful career path. A world traveler, Amy enjoys learning about other cultures and traditions and collecting nursery rhyme books from around the world. Outside of work, you can find her traveling, of course, as well as knitting, reading, and searching for treasures at antique fairs and ephemera shows.
