Brooks Barber

Vice President, Institutional Test Prep at The Princeton Review

Brooks Barber has a diverse work experience spanning over the years. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Teaching Fellow at The Catholic University of America, where they taught courses on Islam, Catholic theology, and World Religions. In 2012, they also held a short-term position as an Adjunct Faculty member at Saint Mary's College of Maryland.

In 2013, Brooks joined The Princeton Review and took on various roles. Brooks initially worked as a Higher Education Advisor, assisting high school seniors with college applications, scholarships, and standardized test preparation. In 2015, they became an Account Manager for School-Based Programs, managing Princeton Review programs in school districts and leading a team of teachers and counselors. In 2017, they were promoted to Regional Director of Operations, overseeing educational intervention programs for schools and collaborating on process improvement initiatives. Later, in 2020, Brooks was further promoted to Executive Director of Operations, where they led a national team of Account Managers and focused on customer retention, profitability, and strategic vision for the department. Most recently, in February 2022, they assumed the role of Associate Vice President, Customer Experience and Operations, leveraging their expertise in organizational stability, automation, standardization, and business intelligence tools to drive results and bring innovative products to market.

Brooks Barber's work experience exhibits a strong track record of achievement in educational operations, customer experience, and strategic leadership.

Brooks Barber holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Religion and Culture, with a focus on Islamic Studies, which they earned from The Catholic University of America between 2008 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Hinduism and Islam from The George Washington University from 2004 to 2007. Brooks began their educational journey at Baylor University, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they have recently completed the I Live Here I Give Here Board Training Program, obtaining a certification in 2022.
