Ernesto Fonseca, PhD, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Hacienda CDC, the largest Latino Housing Development and Services Company in Oregon, focusing on housing, education, and small business development. Fonseca is also a Commissioner with the Portland Housing Bureau and an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Portland State University - School of Business. In addition, Fonseca is involved with several organizations, serving on the Board of Directors for The Prosperity Agenda, Housing Oregon, and has held previous positions with the Energy Trust of Oregon and The Two Worlds Community Foundation. As an Architect and Partner at Baja Properties, Fonseca has contributed to the development of a 900-acre Eco-village. Educational credentials include a PhD in Environmental Design & Planning and a Master's in Building Design & Climate Responsible Architecture from Arizona State University, along with a Professional Degree in Architecture & Design from Universidad del Valle de México.
