Andy Steele

Andy Steele is a Technical Manager at the Permanent Way Institution since August 2019, previously serving as Regional Engineering Director at Amey from June 2013 to August 2019, where responsibilities included overseeing design technical delivery for the Northern Rail business and managing over 100 staff across various engineering disciplines. Additionally, Andy held the position of Technical Director for the S&C Alliance at Amey, where Andy was instrumental in developing an innovative technical submission for a significant tender, which involved the introduction of new track laying equipment in the UK and led to successful contract mobilization and delivery. Andy holds an HNC in Surveying Engineering from the University of East London, attained between 1989 and 1991.
