The Rail
April Trimmer is an experienced individual pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Ohio University, expected to graduate in 2024. Currently serving as an Energy Engineering Intern at Siemens since May 2024 and an AAC Tutor at Ohio University since February 2023, April provides tutoring in engineering courses and related subjects. Prior experience includes a Systems Co-op at RoviSys Building Technologies and roles at The Rail, where responsibilities involved customer service and training. Seasonal work as a Gardener for the City of Strongsville and experience as a Retail Sales Associate at rue21 further showcase skills in customer engagement and teamwork.

The Rail
The Rail is all about keeping it local. From our locally sourced burgers and sandwiches to our all-Ohio craft beer taps to our old-school, hand-dipped milkshakes, we locally source as many ingredients as we can. Established in 2011, The Rail is the vision of award-winning chef and restaurateur Mike Mariola. Opening and running two of Wooster, Ohio's most successful restaurants, South Market Bistro and The City Square Steakhouse, Mariola noticed the locally sourced burgers were quite popular and decided to pursue a burger bar concept for his next venture... which brought us to The Rail. Mariola opened the first location in July of 2011 at Akron's Summit Mall. We have since opened locations in North Olmsted, Canton, Strongsville and Dublin to spread our burger and beer and shake happiness around Ohio. Combining his lifelong passion for great, fresh food and a dedication to sustainability, Mariola is able to redefine the typical burger joint with a menu you have to taste for yourself.
