The Rapid
Nancy Groendal has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. In 1997, they worked as an Executive Assistant at DCT, Inc. until 2000. Nancy then joined Delphi Corporation as a Human Resource Specialist from 2001 to 2008. Nancy joined Parker Hannifin in 2008 as an Assistant Human Resource Manager, where they served multiple facilities and locations. Nancy'sresponsibilities included conducting ethics and sexual harassment training, managing labor relations, resolving conflicts, and driving cultural change. Since 2012, Nancy has been working at The Rapid, initially as a Benefit Administrator and later as a Human Resources Director. Nancy'smost recent role is the Director of Human Resources, which they started in July 2021.
Nancy Groendal pursued their education from 2008 to 2011, attending Central Michigan University. During this time, they obtained a Masters degree in HR Management, focusing on developing expertise in this field.
The Rapid

The Rapid (Interurban Transit Partnership) is the authority that provides a variety of public transportation services for the Grand Rapids metro area and beyond. It is organized and operates under Michigan Public Act 196 of 1986. The Rapid operates fixed route, demand-response services for people with disabilities and those living outside the fixed-route service area, and car and vanpooling programs among other services. The activities of The Rapid are overseen by a 15-member board of directors that represent the six municipalities in The Rapid service area.
