Katie Guenthner

Katie Guenthner currently serves as the Assistant News Editor at The Red & Black Publishing Co. since August 2024, following an internship at CNN where duties included producing videos for air and digital platforms, writing articles, and planning shoots for various shows. Prior experience at The Red & Black includes a role as an Enterprise Reporter from May 2023 to May 2024, focused on in-depth reporting within the Athens-Clarke County and University of Georgia community. Additional experience includes serving as an Education Beat Reporter and a Summer Camp Counselor at the YMCA in the summer of 2022. Katie Guenthner is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, alongside two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and Spanish at the University of Georgia, expected to be completed in May 2026.
