Dr Richard Lowes is a specialist advisor at the UK Parliament's Environmental Audit Committee, focusing on the electrification of the UK economy. Dr Richard is a Senior Associate at the Regulatory Assistance Project, working on carbon reduction and renewable energy goals. Dr Lowes also serves as a Non Executive Board Member at The Scottish Government for the Heat Decarbonisation Programme Board. Additionally, Dr Richard is a Research Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Exeter, and holds a PhD in Energy Policy. Prior to these roles, Dr Lowes worked as a Policy Manager at Scotia Gas Networks and in various policy roles at SSE.
