Makailah Bennett, MAT, CSP has a diverse range of work experience. Makailah began their career as a Digital-Media Intern at WXII 12 News in 2010. Makailah then worked as a Multi-Media Journalist at Cherina Tidwell Productions from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they interned as a News Intern at Fox 8 News. Makailah then transitioned to a role as a Branch Manager/Sales Representative at Vector Marketing from 2011 to 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Project Manager/Dance Instructor at the Freedom Center for the Creative Arts. Since 2015, Makailah has been with The Resource Co, where they have held roles as a Recruiter and currently as a Marketing Specialist. Makailah'sresponsibilities as a Recruiter included screening and interviewing applicants, attracting new applicants through creative job ads, utilizing various applicant source websites, matching candidates to job positions, and building relationships with clients. In their current role as a Marketing Specialist, they have taken on additional responsibilities related to marketing.

Makailah Bennett, MAT, CSP began their education journey in 2007 by enrolling in North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. From 2007 to 2010, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at the same university and earned a Master of Arts degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from 2011 to 2013. Makailah Bennett has displayed a commitment to both journalism and education throughout their academic pursuits.
