Mercedes Ragoonanan

Mercedes Ragoonanan is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC since October 2008, overseeing a team and the Loss Prevention department at a premier resort in Fort Lauderdale. Prior to this role, Mercedes held various positions at Marriott Hotels, including Market Director of Human Resources for two major properties and Multi-Unit Director supporting multiple hotels in the Miami area. Early career experience includes serving as the Director of Human Resources at Marriott Vacations Worldwide and Quorum Hotels & Resorts. Mercedes holds a Ph.D. (ABD) in Education & Human Resources Development, a Master’s in Organizational Learning & Leadership, and a Bachelor’s in Human Resources Management from Barry University, along with a Diploma in Legal Studies from Manhattan Vocational Technical School.
