Julia McGuire

Julia McGuire is a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist with extensive experience in providing speech and language services, particularly for preschool-aged children with hearing loss at The River School since May 2019. Prior to this role, Julia served as a National Selection Committee Member for TheDream.US, evaluating scholarship applicants for undocumented immigrant youth, and completed a graduate internship focused on communication and feeding therapy at Coastal Healthcare Services. Academic training includes a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the District of Columbia, and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Delta State University, complemented by a BA in Comparative Literature from Haverford College. Julia's teaching experience also includes coordinating English language learner services at Friendship Public Charter School and implementing a Spanish immersion program in Mississippi.
