Megan Gately

Director Of Learning & Engagement at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation

Megan Gately has extensive experience in the field of education and museum outreach. Megan currently works as the Director of Learning & Engagement at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Foundation and Institute since October 2017. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Education and Outreach at the Museum of Ventura County from September 2014 to October 2017. At this role, they managed educational programming, supervised volunteers, and handled grants. Before that, Megan worked as a Social Studies Curriculum Specialist & Museum Educator at the Minnesota Historical Society from September 2013 to December 2013, where they provided resources to K-12 educators. Additionally, they served as the Vice President of the Arizona Council for History Education from March 2012 to September 2013 and as a Museum Educator at the Arizona Historical Society from May 2003 to August 2013. Megan also held positions such as Past President of the Arizona Council for the Social Studies from October 2007 to January 2013, a National Education Committee Board Member at the Japanese American Citizens League from July 2011 to August 2012, and a Certified Teacher at Desert Hills High School from September 2004 to December 2005.

Megan Gately holds a MA in Education Leadership and Policy from Arizona State University, which they pursued from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a BA in History/Secondary Education from the University of Arizona, completing their degree between 1999 and 2004. Megan completed their high school education at Thousand Oaks High School and received a diploma in 1999.
