Thomas Salisbury

Lead For Rcophth Eportfolio National Development at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth)

Thomas Salisbury is currently a Trust Digital Fellow at The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and serves as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Northumbria University. As a Topol Fellow at NHS Digital Academy, Thomas is involved in developing real-world gait analysis using artificial intelligence for visually impaired patients. In addition, Thomas leads the national development of the ePortfolio for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists' new curriculum. Thomas specializes in ophthalmology as a Specialist Trainee and has extensive experience in clinical trials, having previously worked as a Specialist Optometrist and Optometrist. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Warwick and a BSc (Hons) in Optometry from the University of Bradford, as well as pursuing a PGCert in Clinical Data Engineering from The University of Manchester.
