Leonora Vesterbacka, PhD, is a Senior Data Scientist at Kungliga biblioteket, leading a project utilizing the Leonardo supercomputer to train acoustic models for automated speech recognition with Swedish data. Previously, at Vinnova, Vesterbacka enhanced data-driven decision-making processes and developed infrastructure for measuring the impact of innovative projects. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at New York University, Vesterbacka contributed to the ATLAS Collaboration at CERN, focusing on filtering and visualizing large datasets. During a Graduate Research Associate tenure at CERN, Vesterbacka conducted significant research on fundamental particles and published studies searching for physics beyond the standard model.
