Phyllis Pfeiffer is the current President & GM of U-T Community Press at The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Phyllis has over 25 years of experience in the newspaper industry, including their previous role as Senior Vice President Advertising at the San Francisco Chronicle and SF Gate, Hearst Corporation. During their time there, Phyllis created a custom publishing division that featured monthly fashion and real estate publications targeted to high demographic subscribers.

Before that, they were the Vice President Advertising and Marketing at Contra Costa Times and contracostatimes.com, Knight Ridder, Inc. where they were the Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer for a regional daily newspaper and website with gross revenue in excess of $200 million.

Phyllis began their career in newspapers as the President and Publisher of Marin Independent Journal and marinij.com, Gannett Co. Inc. from 1993 to 2000.

Phyllis is a highly experienced and successful executive in the newspaper industry, with a proven track record in advertising, marketing, and revenue generation.

Phyllis Pfeiffer has a BS from Cornell University and certifications from LinkedIn in Cybersecurity at Work and Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues.

They work with Paul Ingegneri - Vice President Of Advertising, Matthew T. Hall - Editorial & Opinion Director, and Radvile Rinkeviciute - Human Resources Director. Phyllis Pfeiffer reports to Jeff Light, Publisher & Editor.
