Brandon R. Reynolds has a diverse work experience in various roles within the media industry. Brandon R. began their career in 2004 at Style Weekly, where they served as the Online/Calendar Editor and later as the Arts & Culture Editor until 2009. During this time, they also worked as a Freelance Writer & Editor for publications such as The Atlantic, Kansas City Star, San Antonio Current, and Oxford American.
In 2012, Reynolds became the Editor-in-Chief at SF Weekly, a position they held until 2015. Brandon R. then transitioned to working as a Writer & Editor in the nomadic economy, with various roles and assignments at different companies. In 2018, they joined Seed as the Director of Content, a position they held until 2019.
Currently, Reynolds works as a Comedy-Journalism Instructor at The Second City, starting in 2019. With their background in writing, editing, and instructing, they bring a wide range of expertise to the media industry.
Brandon R. Reynolds obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication/English from Southwestern University, which they attended from 1996 to 2000. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Specialized Journalism (Science) at the University of Southern California, which they completed between 2009 and 2010.
