Sarah Weems

Sarah Weems is the Chief Finance & Operations Officer at The Skagit Valley Family YMCA. Sarah has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. Sarah began their career as a store manager at Starbucks Coffee Company and then transitioned to financial analyst. In this role, they performed variance analysis of actual external manufacturing production as it relates to our standard costing system. Sarah also identified trends within key performance drivers and communicated with the operations managers regularly. Sarah offered insight and guidance in the area of new project or cost saving opportunities.

Sarah left Starbucks in 2017 to become the Accounting Manager at Swinomish Enterprises. In this role, they were responsible for actively managing the weekly AP and monthly AR cycle while performing monthly close related activities. Sarah also worked closely with both the CEO and COO to deliver meaningful analysis that supported both manufacturing and retail operations.

In 2019, Sarah left Swinomish Enterprises to join CB Johnson & Associates, PLLC as a staff accountant. Sarah worked at CB Johnson & Associates for just over a year before being promoted to their current role as Chief Finance & Operations Officer at The Skagit Valley Family YMCA.

Sarah Weems received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University.

They work with Amy Beek - Clinical Director, Ariell Wright - Oasis Director, and Crissy Floe - ELC Co-Chair & Y Kids. Trevor Torres - Accountant, Darci Hart - Bookkeeper report to Sarah Weems. Their manager is Dean Snider, CEO.
