Htl Miranda Simon (ASCP)

Miranda Simon, HTL (ASCP) is a highly skilled histotechnologist with experience in various roles within histotechnology and laboratory settings. Currently serving as Lab Lead Histotechnologist II and Mohs Histotechnologist at The Skin Surgery Center since November 2021, Miranda previously worked as a histotechnologist at Atrium Health from June 2021 to November 2021. Prior to histotechnical roles, management experience was gained as Front Of House Manager and Lead Bartender at Olde Hickory Brewery. An analytical chemist intern at Shurtape Technologies, LLC, contributed to product development and research, including projects focused on bovine skeletal muscle lactate dehydrogenase, phenolic antioxidants, and polychlorinated biphenyls. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Lenoir-Rhyne University and a Histotechnologist Certification from Carolinas College of Health Sciences.
