Balkar Sidhu

Balkar Sidhu is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as Principal Engineer at The Spaceship Company and as Principal Engineer for Avionics Systems at Virgin Galactic since July 2018. Prior to these roles, Balkar held the position of Principal Hardware Engineer at Oracle from March 2010 to March 2017, leading the design, testing, and release of advanced rack management solutions for data center infrastructures. Balkar's earlier experience includes a decade as Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems, where responsibilities involved the design of multicore SPARC-based CPU compute nodes, and a role as Hardware Engineer at Intermec by Honeywell focused on hardware design for PDA docking stations. Balkar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Greenwich, earned between September 1982 and July 1985.
