DeAnn Prettyman has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare and laboratory operations. DeAnn is currently working at The St. John Group as a Consultant - Project Manager, where they oversee the standardization of coding for surveillance of various respiratory viruses. Prior to this, DeAnn worked at Cerner Corporation in various roles, including Senior Product Owner and Solution Designer. In these positions, they were responsible for managing change requests, enhancing product backlog, and ensuring regulatory compliance. DeAnn also worked at Heritage Labs/Clinical Reference Laboratory as a Med Tech, where they gained experience in routine laboratory analyses. Additionally, DeAnn served as a Lead Medical Laboratory Tech at Encompass Medical Group, where they focused on maintaining accuracy and precision in laboratory analyses. DeAnn'searly experience includes working as a Lab Tech II at Boyce and Bynum Pathology Labs.

DeAnn Prettyman completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Columbia College from 2002 to 2006. Following their undergraduate studies, DeAnn obtained several additional certifications. In September 2010, they obtained the Technologist in Chemistry (ASCP-C) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). DeAnn then earned another certification in Lab Management University from the same institution in June 2014. Most recently, in June 2021, DeAnn obtained the ICP-PCO certification from ICAgile.
