Ryan Murphy, MPA, has extensive experience in law enforcement, currently serving as Senior Commander for the City of Saint Paul since May 2001, where oversight includes the Special Enforcement Group focusing on Special Investigations, Criminal Intelligence, Gangs & Guns, and Narcotics. Previous positions held within the City of Saint Paul include Commander, Sergeant, and Police Officer. Additionally, Ryan served as an Emergency Vehicle Driving Instructor at Dakota County Technical College from March 2016 to April 2021. Ryan holds a Master of Public Administration in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science, both from the University of South Dakota.
