Vita Kurland is an experienced archivist currently working at The Studio Museum in Harlem since August 2022. Previously, Vita served as the Barnard Processing and Pedagogy Archives Fellow at Barnard College from September 2021 to June 2022 and as a Curatorial Intern at the New-York Historical Society in June 2021. Earlier career roles include Archivist and Gallery Associate at Lévy Gorvy and Research Assistant to artist Anne Imhof at Studio Imhof. Vita began a professional path in archiving at Pentagram as both an Archivist and Archives Intern. Educationally, Vita holds a Master of Library & Information Science from New York University, a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Aesthetics from Bard College Berlin, and has pursued further studies in Library & Information Science at Long Island University.
