James Shanley

James Shanley possesses extensive experience in fire protection engineering and management. Currently serving as 2nd Vice President at Travelers since October 1999, James oversees first party property fire forensic claims and manages a team of engineers and technicians. Additionally, James holds the position of Director for the Barkhamsted Fire District, responsible for financial and administrative management since July 2011. James has been involved with the National Association of Fire Investigators as a Director since July 1992 and serves as Fire Chief for the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Department since June 2005. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University.
